Nabin Raut

Nabin Raut is exploring radio-frequency (RF) optomechanics in a high-Q (10^10) superconducting radio-frequency (SRF) 3D cavity by a levitated magnet. The proposed optomechanical scheme will provide unprecedented measurement sensitivity because it combines the highest observable electromagnetic Q factors, freely levitated mechanical objects which also have extraordinarily high mechanical Q factors, and the superconducting state which is a macroscopic quantum state.
