Bio:
Joseph “Joey” McTiernan graduated from the University of California, Davis, with a B.S. in Physics and a Minor in Applied Mathematics. His research interests revolve around applying physics to biological systems, particularly through theoretical and computational modeling. As a member of the Gopinathan Group, and in collaboration with the UC Coronavirus Assembly Research Consortium, Joey is developing a multi-scale model for SARS-CoV-2 viral budding.
