Graduate Student in the Nierenberg Lab
Borna Hlousek is a graduate student currently studying Astrophysics with the Nierenberg Lab Group. The observational data collected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) and others like it contain valuable data on the mechanics behind galactic and stellar formation. Of key interest is data obtained via strong Gravitational Lenses, which provides insights into the behaviour and fundamental properties of Dark Matter and provide powerful validation of current cosmological models. Prior to coming to UC Merced, he completed a MSc. of Physics with a concentration on Electron Scattering Dynamics with emphasis on inelastic Collisions from CSUF.
