Professor Ajay Gopinathan talks about the physics of collective behavior including flocks and swarms at the Aspen Center for Physics public outreach events including a Kids Science Barbecue and an interview for the Aspen Science Highlights program on Aspen Grassroots TV.
Professor Gopinathan is also involved in studying the physics of optimal foraging, especially in groups. Most recently this includes studying infants "foraging" in an acoustic space as they learn to speak- funded by a new NSF grant with faculty from Cognitive Science - Prof. Anne Warlaumont and Prof. Chris Kello
